A supermarket based in Providenciales has decided to open a new branch in Grand Turk within the next 6 months. Within the next 3 months, the same supermarket will be closing its location in South Caicos, which has 10 employees. The location in Grand Turk is meant to be twice the size of the supermarket in South Caicos and will be expected to do twice the number of sales. This venture is considered to be part of the strategic plan of expansion.
